The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the sole national accreditation body recognised by the British government to assess the competence of organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. It evaluates these conformity assessment bodies and then accredits them where they are found to meet the internationally specified standard.

An organisation accredited by UKAS can demonstrate competence, impartiality and reliability in its ability to deliver results. Accreditation ensures that everyone from specifiers, purchasers, and suppliers to consumers can have confidence in the quality of goods and in the provision of services throughout the supply chain.


Centre Technique International de l’hygiène-Propreté. This technical entity is specialized in hygiene audits and tests driving for manufacturers and suppliers of finished goods. Based on strict requirements, CTIP’s tests results reveal how the products mainly used in Healthcare environments perform in complying with hygiene regulations and standards.


HACCP defines critical control points and related processes to ensure basic hygiene requirements are met in professional kitchens. The intuitive use of products marked with this symbol guaranties to be in line with the HACCP-guidelines. Since the 1st of January 2006 the European Community Regulations EC No 852/2004 and EC No 853/2004 have been prescribing the implementation of HACCP mandatory guidelines in the European Union territory.


National Sanitation Foundation is an independent testing lab/organization in Ann Arbor, Michigan. NSF lists products which meet their criteria for cleanability and sanitation: food contact, splash zone and non-food contact, per Standard 2: Food Equipment and Standard 18: Manual Beverage Dispensers. United States Department of Agriculture Equipment Listing (Meat and Poultry and 3A Dairy Listing). Items that comply with USDA regulations via the design, construction, and materials of a product.


Food and Drug Administration does not approve products. The FDA sets regulations which require compliance.


This logo guarantees the compliance with the EC regulation 1935/2004 and the Directive 2002/72/EC defining standards for items that will be in contact with food. These standards frame production, materials and structure of the item, according to its use. Rubbermaid® works closely with officially recognised European laboratories to be in line with the highest standards in terms of “Food Contact”.


ASTM F-404 is an American Society for Testing and Materials’ safety standard for evaluating a High Chair. The high Chair 7814 meets the latest revision -99a of the F-404 norm. A “test dummy” that simulates a child of predetermined size is strapped into the chair and various push, pulls and racking tests are conducted on the chair and also using the dummy to simulate forces required to remove dummy, to determine the safety aspects of ensuring proper confinement within the chair without causing harm to the child.


The Laboratoire National d’Essais is an independent testing laboratory based in France. It lists products which meet their criteria for safety.


International Safe Transit Association. The Compacted Mops were tested and certified via ISTA Test Procedures.


Factory Mutual is an independent testing agency whose approvals are based on Standard 6921 Combustible Waste Containers. Standard 6921 is performance criteria for containers with covers (lids) and their ability to withstand internal fires, maintain a certain range of stability, if dumped, and stay intact over a wide temperature range. Standard 6920 is performance criteria for Oily Waste Containers.


California State Fire Marshal. The state of California is generally regarded to have the most strict laws concerning security. Having the responsibility of preventing fire, the Californian Fire Service requires that all containers which are used in public areas to collect combustible materials (cigarettes) must pass an anti-fire test.


Underwriters Laboratory The UL classified baskets (2540, 2541, 2544) meet the criteria for UL Standard 242 which is a standard of performance for open top, non-metallic wastepaper containers. UL classified baskets are generally found in use in patient care rooms (hospitals/nursing homes).


The TÜV certification officially certifies the compliance of the Rubbermaid Commercial Products with the European requirements.

Russian Standard

Since 1993 the Russian government has implemented the Russian Standard certification for most products whiling to enter the Russian territory. The aim is to guaranty the people health and security.
