Rubbermaid sign three year partnership agreement with WaterAid 26-07-2011
New Agreement Will Help Transform Lives By Improving Access To Clean Safe Water, Hygiene and Sanitation
Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) and WaterAid today jointly announced the signature of a new three year partnership deal. Under the terms of the agreement, RCP will donate a minimum of 1% of the value of sales of its new HYGEN Clean Water System to WaterAid for a period of not less than three years.
WaterAid is an international non-governmental organisation which uses practical and sustainable solutions to improve access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation in some of the world’s poorest communities. WaterAid currently works in 27 countries across Africa, Asia, the Pacific region and Central America and campaigns globally with its partners to realise its vision of a world where everyone has access to these basic human needs.
Commenting after signature of the agreement Anna Whitton VP & General Manager, EMEA for RCP commented: “Our heads and our hearts were moved by the amazing work that WaterAid is doing in providing clean, safe water. It clearly has made a difference to the lives of many millions of people. Everyone agrees that clean water has to be more accessible and we are delighted to be able to play our part in bringing this ideal to those that need it most.”
Susie Henderson, Corporate Account Manager for WaterAid, added: “This is a great example of a corporate social responsibility initiative by a forward-thinking company and the product has such a natural fit with WaterAid’s work. We wish Rubbermaid every success with the new HYGEN Clean Water System as each unit sold will help people currently living without their own clean water supply.”
