BEHIND THE SCENES OF CLEAN IS BACK
Recognising the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes
The Behind the Scenes of Clean (BTSOC) initiative is all about celebrating the everyday heroes who keep critical public spaces like hotels, offices, schools, hospitals, and airports clean and safe. This year marked our third annual BTSOC roadshow and we hosted over 200 global events, thanking more than 17,000 cleaning and maintenance professionals.
Armed with snacks, prizes and goodie bags, this year we visited the housekeeping teams responsible for keeping hotels running safely. We checked in to The Vale Resort in Wales, took a trip to Toulouse and finished up with a visit to Hamburg. It was great to connect with the individuals who are dedicated to providing stellar hygiene standards for both guests and staff alike.
The Vale Resort
Our first trip was to the highly prestigious Vale Resort based just outside Cardiff. It was great to take some time out with their team of housekeepers and cleaners, load them up with Newell Brands goodies and personally thank them for their dedication to keeping the resort running smoothly and safely.
A spokesperson for the Vale said: “Our housekeeping team work exceptionally hard to deliver the outstanding level of cleanliness that our guests are accustomed to. Their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s been great to take the time to celebrate the team with the help of RCP.”
With ambitious environmental goals as well as recycling legislation to adhere to, we first started working with Vale Resort to help them implement more sustainable cleaning and recycling solutions. It was great to catch up with the team and spend some time celebrating their hard work.
Hotel Gascogne
Next stop, Toulouse! We paid the team at city-centre based Hotel Gascogne, a visit and took some time out to reflect on the hard work of their housekeeping and cleaning personnel and celebrate their commitment.
The hotel manager said of the initiative: “It’s been great to spend the afternoon celebrating our hardworking housekeeping teams with the help of RCP. It is thanks to their dedication that we are able to offer our guests the luxury experience they have come to expect from staying with us. Thank you to our amazing team!”
The Hamburg Marriott Hotel
The last event of BTSOC 2024 took us to Hamburg, to the team at the Hamburg Marriott Hotel and Renaissance Hotels. It was great to see so many faces from their cleaning and maintenance teams tucking into snacks, getting hands-on with the products and enjoying the goodie bags. We also challenged them to guess the number of tennis balls were in the BRUTE® and the winner walked away with an Amazon gift card!
The housekeeping manager said of the event: “Taking care of people and their wellbeing is one of our core values at Marriott and that extends to our dedicated team of cleaning and housekeeping professionals. We’re really pleased that RCP could come and help us celebrate them and their dedication to creating a clean and safe space for our guests and team.”
